The referral program is available across all versions: iOS, macOS, Android and the web browser version.
The idea is simple. You share your personal referral link, someone signs up through it, and you both get 50% off for the first year. Not one of you — both. The person doing the referring and the person joining get the same discount.

If you already recommend the app — to a colleague who films weekly updates, to someone in a creator community, to a team that has just started making video — the referral link means that recommendation is worth something to both of you. There is nothing to apply for and no separate account to manage. It is the same link every time.
Once your friend has signed up, they will probably want How do I make a video recording with a script? to get going, and How can I sync my scripts between all my devices? so their library follows them from phone to desktop.
