How Can I Export a Script in the Teleprompter.com App?

Available on iOS, Android, macOS, and Web Browser Versions

Need to back up your script, share it with others, or transfer it to another device? Teleprompter.com makes it simple to export your scripts in a couple of taps.

On iOS and Android:

1. Open the Teleprompter.com app
2. Go to the Scripts panel (this is where all your scripts are stored)
3. Long-press on the script you want to export
4. Tap Export
5. Choose between:
   • Plain Text (.txt) – great for universal access and compatibility
   • Teleprompter File (.teleprompter) – ideal for importing the file into another Teleprompter  device while keeping formatting and structure intact

On macOS:

1. Open the Teleprompter.com app on your Mac
2. Go to the Scripts panel
3. Right-click on the script you want to export
4. Select Export

On the Web Browser Version:

1. Go to https://app.teleprompter.com/manage/script and sign in
2. Click on the script you want to export
3. Once opened, click the Save icon to download the script as a file

Exporting gives you control over your content—whether for editing, collaboration, or safekeeping.
