Script export is available on iOS, Android and macOS
Need to back up your script, share it with others, or transfer it to another device? Teleprompter.com makes it simple to export your scripts in a couple of taps. On the Web Browser Version there is no export option yet, but you can still copy your script text out of the editor.
On iOS and Android:
- Open the Teleprompter.com app
- Go to the Scripts panel (this is where all your scripts are stored)
- Long-press on the script you want to export
- Tap Export
- Choose between:
- Plain Text (.txt) – great for universal access and compatibility
- Teleprompter File (.teleprompter) – ideal for importing the file into another Teleprompter device while keeping formatting and structure intact

On macOS:
- Open the Teleprompter.com app on your Mac
- Go to the Scripts panel
- Right-click on the script you want to export
- Select Export
On the Web Browser Version:
There is no export option in the browser version at the moment, so you copy the text out manually:
- Go to https://app.teleprompter.com/manage/script and sign in
- Click on the script you want to export
- Once opened, copy and paste from the editor screen.
This gives you the script text, but not a .txt or .teleprompter file—for those, export from the iOS, Android or macOS app.

Exporting gives you control over your content—whether for editing, collaboration, or safekeeping.
