Connect your Teleprompter.com account to Claude and other AI assistants
The Teleprompter.com MCP is the official bridge between your Teleprompter.com account and any MCP-compatible AI assistant. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI app talk directly to a service you already use, so instead of copying and pasting scripts back and forth, your assistant can open, edit, and create scripts in your account for you.

What can the MCP do?
- Browse your scripts. Ask for a script by name and your AI opens it and reads back the full text.
- Edit existing scripts. Change the tone, pacing, or length of a script through conversation, and the changes save straight to your account.
- Create new scripts. Give a topic and a target duration and get a finished script in your library.
- Organize folders. Create folders and move scripts between them.
A few things you can ask for once it’s connected:
- “List my scripts, then open the one called Product Launch and read me the opening.”
- “Trim my Brand Story script to about 90 seconds of speaking time and keep the three key points.”
- “Write a 60-second welcome script for a webinar on email marketing.”
- “Create a folder called Q4 Campaign and move my three launch scripts into it.”
How do I connect it to Claude?
- Open Claude’s connector settings: Settings > Connectors
- Choose Add custom connector and paste in the Teleprompter.com MCP URL: https://app.teleprompter.com/mcp
- Sign in to your Teleprompter.com account to authorize the connection
How do I connect it to another AI app?
- Go to app.teleprompter.com/manage/settings and generate a key
- Pick which abilities it grants, reading or writing your scripts and folders
- Open your AI app’s connector settings and paste in the configuration
What is it allowed to do with my scripts?
You decide. When you generate a key you choose exactly which permissions it grants:
- scripts:read — read your scripts
- scripts:write — create and edit scripts
- folders:read — see your folder structure
- folders:write — create and update folders
There is no delete capability at all. Even with full write access, an AI assistant cannot remove a script or a folder from your account, so nothing can be lost by accident. Does it cost anything?
No. The Teleprompter.com MCP is free and included with your account. Any plan works, including the free one, so it isn’t a paid feature or an upgrade. All you need is a Teleprompter.com account and an MCP-compatible AI app.
